The problem faced is that the sales department has difficulty finding the product that customers are interested in, because the sales department has to look for the stock amount in the inventory book. This study aims to make it easier for shop owners to view sales reports in real-time and can help them record sales transactions stored in the system, display sales comparisons each month and can determine which products are the best sellers by creating a web-based application. This research method uses a qualitative approach with data collection through observation, interviews, literature, and documentation applied to obtain comprehensive supporting data. The results of the study indicate that in developing the solution, the Prototype approach was chosen to build an effective system. This method is very necessary for system creation. The system design stage involves the use of Balsamiq Mockup and Visual Studio as a text editor. This system is designed using various programming languages such as PHP, CSS, HTML, and MySQL as its database. For the final stage of testing using Black Box Testing which shows the results that the system built is in accordance with the needs analysis. The trial results of the application demonstrated that it can be used by shop owners to manage sales and inventory data more efficiently. Thus, this research has successfully created an effective solution to improve sales and inventory management at AKS Workshop.
