Use of Banana Weevil Liquid Organic Fertilizer (Poc) on the Growth of Red Barangan Bananas (Musa Acuminata Colla)

Abstrak

Liquid organic fertilizer is a solution from the decomposition of organic materials originating from plant residues, agro-industrial waste, animal waste, and human waste that contains more than one nutrient. Barangan Banana Plants are an important commodity that plays a very important role in supporting the diversification of food sources, economy and cultural activities in North Sumatra. This study aims to determine the effect of providing liquid organic fertilizer (POC) from banana stumps on the growth of Red Barangan Banana plants and their interactions. This study uses an experimental method with a quantitative approach to test the effect of providing liquid organic fertilizer (POC) from banana stumps on the growth of Red Barangan Banana plants (Musa acuminata colla). This study uses liquid organic fertilizer (POC) treatment with the symbol (P) consisting of 4 levels P0 = 0 ml/Liter of water, P1 = 150 ml/Liter of water, P2 = 300 ml/Liter of water, P3 = 450 ml/Liter of water. The parameters observed in this study were stem diameter, plant height, leaf length and leaf width. The results of this study indicate that there are different effects between each treatment of various levels of Banana Corm POC on the growth of Red Barangan Banana (Musa acuminata colla). The use of the best Banana Corm POC level P3 = 450ml/Liter of water with the results of stem diameter (8.4 cm), plant height (17.8 cm), leaf length (19.6 cm), leaf width (9.3 cm).
