Abstrak

This study examines the relationship between environmental performance within the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework and its impact on corporate reputation in the manufacturing and mining sectors. As global focus on sustainability intensifies, companies are under increasing pressure to demonstrate their commitment to environmentally responsible practices, especially in industries with high ecological footprints. The aim of this research is to explore how environmental performance, as part of the ESG criteria, influences the public perception and overall reputation of companies in these sectors. A mixed-methods approach was used, combining quantitative of stakeholders and qualitative interviews with industry professionals. The results indicate a strong positive correlation between high environmental performance and improved corporate reputation. Companies that excelled in sustainability efforts, such as emissions management and resource conservation, were viewed more favorably by stakeholders. Transparency in environmental reporting and a comprehensive approach to ESG, including social and governance factors, further enhanced reputation. This research contributes to understanding the importance of integrating environmental practices within the ESG framework and provides actionable insights for companies in the manufacturing and mining sectors. It highlights the need for a holistic approach to sustainability that can significantly improve corporate reputation and stakeholder relationships.
