Strategies for Developing Intrapersonal Intelligence in Early Childhood Through Role-Playing at TK Muslimat NU 089 Kepatihan, Ponorogo

Abstract

This study aims to analyze strategies for developing intrapersonal intelligence in early childhood through role-playing activities at TK Muslimat NU 089 Kepatihan, Ponorogo. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the kindergarten principal, classroom teachers, assistant teachers, and the children themselves as subjects of observation. Data analysis utilized the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model, comprising the stages of data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The results indicate that the strategy for developing intrapersonal intelligence is implemented through conditioning and apperception, introducing themes and roles, offering opportunities to choose roles, providing gradual guidance, using positive reinforcement, utilizing concrete media, and conducting post-play reflection. These strategies enable children to recognize their feelings and desires, express themselves, control their emotions, build confidence, and make simple decisions. The success of the strategy depends on the teacher's ability to tailor guidance to the children's individual characteristics. Role-playing serves as a learning experience that fosters the development of self-understanding in a concrete and enjoyable manner.
