This study aimed to determine the effect of career guidance services on the career planning of eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 7 Ambon. This research was motivated by the fact that some students had not yet developed mature career plans. Therefore, career guidance services are needed to help students understand their potential, obtain information about higher education and the world of work, and make appropriate career choices. This study employed a quantitative approach using an ex post facto research design. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique, while data were collected through career guidance service and career planning questionnaires that had met the requirements of validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, prerequisite tests, and simple linear regression analysis with the assistance of the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The results of the study indicated that career guidance services had a positive and significant effect on the career planning of eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 7 Ambon. This finding was supported by the hypothesis testing results, which showed a t-value of 4.236 with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating that the research hypothesis was accepted. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R Square) was 0.236, indicating that career guidance services contributed 23.6% to students' career planning, while the remaining 76.4% was influenced by other factors beyond the scope of this study. Therefore, it can be concluded that the better the career guidance services provided, the better the students' career planning. The findings of this study are expected to serve as valuable input for guidance and counseling teachers in improving the quality of career guidance services to help students prepare for higher education and their future careers in a more focused and systematic manner
