Based on initial observations in grade VIII.5 students of SMPN 8 Palangka Raya, a small number of students still show behaviors that are not in accordance with social ethics, such as mocking each other, using derogatory language, forming groups, and mocking by mentioning parents' names. This study aims to examine how grade VIII.5 students at SMPN 8 Palangka Raya use group guidance services to develop social ethics, as well as the factors that support and hinder its implementation. This study uses descriptive qualitative design and qualitative methods. Data collection is carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation, which are then analyzed using the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that group guidance services have been planned, implemented, and evaluated. Using the group discussion method, this service was carried out in four meetings with the topic "Making Friends Fun, Respecting Each Other." The implementation process includes group formation, core activities, discussion of case cards, presentation of discussion results, and evaluation of processes and results. Supporting factors include student needs, BK teacher experience, collaboration in the school community, institutional support, and the availability of facilities and infrastructure. Limited time and variations in student participation, openness, conditions, and level of understanding are inhibiting factors. Based on the final findings, group guidance services help students realize the importance of respecting and appreciating others, speaking politely, and fostering good relationships with peers.
