Abstract

The purpose of writing this work is to describe the e-learning trend changing the educational landscape in the era of digital transformation and its impact on conventional teaching methods as well as educational challenges in adopting e-learning as an integral part of the learning process. This research aims to analyze e-learning trends in modern education, focus on the adoption of digital technology in learning, and identify the challenges faced in implementing e-learning in the learning process. A qualitative approach was used to explore the qualitative aspects of e-learning trends, with secondary data obtained through a literature review and analyzed to identify impacts and comparisons with conventional teaching methods. The results of this work are a) The e-learning trend is changing education, although there is still a preference for conventional methods. The concept of disruptive innovation and theories such as Vygotsky's collaborative learning and Self-Determination are important to integrate e-learning effectively in learning. b) e-learning has changed education in the digital era, facing challenges such as the concept of disruptive innovation, but can be overcome with Collaborative Learning Theory, Self-Determination Theory, and investment in human resources and technological infrastructure.
