Rancang Bangun Sistem Penggajian dan Absensi Karyawan Berbasi Web pada PT Swakarya Insan Mandiri Kranggan 5

Abstract

The payroll and attendance system at PT Swakarya Insan Mandiri Kranggan 5 was previously managed manually, causing inefficiencies such as slow payroll processing, data inaccuracies, and potential fraud like proxy attendance. To overcome these issues, this study aimed to develop a web-based payroll and attendance system using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, PHP programming language, and MySQL database. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and literature review. The system was designed using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) and tested through black box testing to validate its functionality. The research found that the newly developed system effectively automates attendance using QR code scanning via employees' mobile phones, and directly integrates the data into payroll calculations. The results showed that the system successfully reduced errors, increased transparency, and improved the efficiency of payroll and attendance processes. The implementation of this system contributes to better human resource management, enhanced work discipline, and time-saving administrative tasks in service-based companies like PT Swakarya Insan Mandiri. It also demonstrates how simple yet strategic digital solutions can strengthen internal operations and data integrity.
