The Influence of Leadership Style and Work Stress on Employee Performance at Samala Hotel, West Jakarta

Leadership Style and Work Stress are important roles in improving employee performance. This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership style (X1) and work stress (X2) on employee performance (Y), both partially and simultaneously. The object of this research was conducted at Samala Hotel West Jakarta, which operates in the service sector, especially in providing accommodation. This study uses a quantitative method where the collected data is processed using the SPSS version 26 application to analyze the results of the questionnaire and measure all existing variables with several tests, namely data quality tests; validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests; normality tests, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and hypothesis tests using multiple linear regression, determination tests (R²). The results of this study are that leadership style (X1) partially has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (Y), this is proven based on the t-test with a calculated t-value> t-table, namely 2.064> 2.026, with a significance value of 0.046 <0.05. There is a simultaneous positive and significant influence between leadership style and work stress on employee performance, as evidenced by the F-test results, with a calculated F value > F-table value of 5.427 > 3.245, with a significance value of 0.009 < 0.05.
