Abstract

The purpose of writing this work is to find out the challenges of school principals in carrying out their duties as managers and to know their roles and responsibilities in carrying out various activities that occur in the era of globalization. This research uses a comprehensive literature review method by seeking information from various sources such as scientific journals, books and trusted article sources. Data analysis was carried out carefully by reviewing various research sources, summarizing the information and then discussing it in the form of complex problems and then drawing conclusions. The result of this work is that leadership will be effective if in managing a school a leader must be able to be a role model for his subordinates. The school principal must have the qualities or characteristics as a leader or as a manager in managing the organization for which he is responsible. The principal's responsibilities in general are as a leader in the areas of teaching, curriculum development, student administration, personnel administration, community relations, administration of school plants, equipment, and school organization.
