Abstract

Transforming Teacher Professionalism The 21st century includes fundamental changes in the roles, challenges and education policies faced by educators. In this digital age, the role of teachers has evolved from being mere transmitters of knowledge to learning facilitators who encourage critical thinking skills, creativity and collaboration among students. Teachers are also expected to be lifelong learners, constantly developing themselves and adapting to the latest technologies and teaching methods. The challenges faced by 21st century teachers are diverse, ranging from the digital divide, curriculum changes, to the demands of meeting the individual needs of each student. In addition, teachers must manage inclusive and diverse classrooms and face pressure to achieve high academic results. Education policy plays an important role in supporting the transformation of teacher professionalism. These policies include ongoing training and professional development, provision of adequate resources and infrastructure, and improved welfare and recognition of the role of teachers. With the right policies, teachers can be more effective in their duties and provide high-quality education for future generations.
