Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of inclusive education for children with special needs at SMPN 1 Mlarak, focusing on the problems and error by teachers and the strategies applied to overcome them. This study emphasizes the importance of providing education and support tailored to the physical, emotional, and social needs of children with disabilities. Through observations and interviews, data was obtained about three students with disabilities participating in the inclusion program, one of whom uses a wheelchair while the other two have limited growth. The results showed that inclusive education at SMPN 1 Mlarak is quite good in terms of facilities but requires improved adaptive teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of children with disabilities. This study concludes that successful inclusive education requires comprehensive planning, increased resources and strong collaboration between schools, families, and communities.
