Abstract

Subjectivity in the learning process can be influenced by the teacher's experience, the selection of inappropriate learning methods, and the selection of learning media that tends to be based on personal preferences. This phenomenon can have negative impacts, such as loss of student motivation to learn, lack of active participation in class, jealousy between students, and decreased student trust in teachers. This research aims to understand the phenomenon of teacher subjectivity in the learning process, the impact on students, and efforts that can be made to minimize this subjectivity in the process of learning. This research was carried out at Islamic High School  Al-Islam Joresan using a qualitative method with a descriptive approach through interviews, and documentation studies. The results of the study show that students' misunderstanding of the teacher's attention is often the cause of subjectivity perception. Efforts that can be made to overcome this include the development of pedagogic, professional, social, and personality competencies of teachers; the application of learning methods and media that are in accordance with the characteristics of students and the use of valid and reliable assessment rubrics.
