This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of the round table learning model on the short story writing skills of Class V SD Inpres Pabangiang, Gowa Regency. This type of research is quantitative research or experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample and population are class V SD Inpres Pabaging totaling 26 students. The instruments used to collect data are pretest and posttest. Data collection techniques in this study are observation, tests (pretest and posttest) and documentation. After the data is collected, the processing is carried out with descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the study showed that: (1) The learning outcomes of students before the treatment were carried out, namely from 26 students there were 1 (4%) who completed and 25 (95%) who did not complete with an average pre-test score of 47.73. After the treatment was carried out, from 26 students there were 22 (85%) who completed and 4 (15%) who did not complete with an average score of 75.88. (2) there was an increase in student learning outcomes with the application of the round table learning model. The results of the inferential analysis in testing the hypothesis that the learning indicator accepts H1 at α = 0.05. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the application of the round table learning model on the short story writing skills of class V SD Inpres Pabangiang, Gowa Regency.
