Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the effect of using the Cooperative Giving Question and Getting Answer model on social studies learning outcomes in grade IV students of SD Inpres Andi Tonro, Makassar City. This type of research uses pre-experimental designs with a one-goup pretest-posttest design type, namely an experiment that in its implementation only involves one class without involving other classes (comparison classes) which aims to determine the use of the Cooperative Giving Question and Getting Answer model in social studies learning in grade IV students of SD Inpres Andi Tonro, Makassar City. The sample in this study was grade IV students of SD Negeri 180 Kalimbua with a total of 21 students. Based on the results of the study in the discussion, it is concluded that the use of the Cooperative Giving Question and Getting Answer model has an effect on social studies learning outcomes. This shows that before using the Cooperative Giving Question and Getting Answer model, it was classified as low with a score of 45 and the highest score was 85. However, after using the Cooperative Giving Question and Getting Answer model, the social studies learning outcomes were classified as high with the lowest score of 65 and the highest score of 100. So if it is associated with the category of learning outcomes after social studies learning or given the Cooperative Giving Question and Getting Answer model with a very good category, there are 65%, good 25%, sufficient 10% and less than 0%. Based on the hypothesis test that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the use of the Cooperative Giving Question and Getting Answer model has an influence on the social studies learning outcomes of class IV SD Inpres Andi Tonro Makassar City after obtaining t count = 9.811 and t table = (0.05 = 1.725, then 9.811> 1.725 is obtained. So these results indicate that after being given the Cooperative Giving Question and Getting Answer model, it has a positive effect because the t count value is greater than the t table value.
