Pendampingan Persepsi Siswa terhadap Pelanggaran Kode Etik Guru di MTsN 1 Ponorogo
Abstract
This study aims to examine student perceptions of violations of the teacher code of ethics at MTsN 1 Ponorogo, which include understanding, impact, and violation handling mechanisms. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection through questionnaires assisted by Google Form, interviews, and observations. The research respondents consisted of students of class VIII G and several subject teachers who were selected by purposive sampling. The results showed that students' understanding of the teacher's code of ethics varied, where some students knew the procedures and rules that must be obeyed by teachers, while others did not have sufficient knowledge. Some of the violations found include the use of abusive language, acts of discrimination, and unfair treatment, which have a negative impact on students' motivation, emotions, and self-confidence. The mechanism for reporting violations tends to involve counseling teachers, homeroom teachers, and madrasah principals, but psychological barriers such as fear and stigma are still an obstacle. This research emphasizes the importance of student mentoring, monitoring teacher behavior, and providing a safe and transparent reporting system to prevent violations and create a conducive educational environment.
