Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the teacher's code of ethics on the formation of students' character in the digital era. Through a case study at SMPN 1 Sambit, this study uses a qualitative descriptive method with semi-structured interviews as a data collection technique. The results of the study show that teacher ethics has a very significant role in shaping the character of students. Teachers as role models, are able to instill moral, ethical, and social values in students through daily actions and behaviors. However, in the digital era, teachers also face challenges such as a lack of direct interaction, a gap in access to technology, and the negative influence of social media. To overcome these challenges, teachers need to develop innovative strategies, such as integrating technology in learning, building collaboration with parents, and continuing to develop themselves. In conclusion, teacher ethics is an important foundation in the formation of students' character, especially in the digital era that is full of changes.
