Abstract

This article discusses the development of learning media in line with the industrial revolution 4.0, which demands changes from conventional learning methods, especially in media selection. Learning media must be adapted to technological advances. This research aims to explain the use of TikTok as a publication medium for social studies learning at SMP Negeri 2 Ponorogo. The method used is descriptive qualitative method, with TikTok as the research subject and focusing on its utilisation in the context of learning. Data were collected through qualitative descriptive analysis, using instruments in the form of journals. The data analysis process includes data reduction, interviews, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that TikTok can function as an interesting and interactive learning media. With its ease of use and diverse features, TikTok can be implemented in learning activities. This interactive learning media can replace less effective learning, so that the teaching and learning process becomes more efficient. Through TikTok, teachers can also create learning experiences that are interesting and appropriate to the conditions of students and can make it easier to publish to social media. To evaluate the effectiveness of TikTok in improving learning outcomes, further research is needed.
