Abstract

Learning innovation is an urgent need to improve the quality of education in the era of globalization and rapid technological development. Teachers have a central role as facilitators and agents of change, but in the field, innovation efforts are often hampered not only by limited facilities, but also by internal factors of teachers which are likened to professional "diseases". These diseases include resistance to change, dependence on old methods, lack of technological skills, and a stagnant work culture. This study aims to elaborate on the forms of teacher diseases that are obstacles to learning innovation, analyze the causal factors, and offer solutions. The study uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method that examines academic literature, previous research results, and education policy documents. The results of the study show that diseases such as lack of preparation (Kurap), lack of discipline (Kudis), lack of strategy (Kusta), lack of skills (Kram), technological gaptek (TBC), relying too much on lectures (Mencret), and lack of insight (WTS) are real obstacles in realizing innovative learning. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of improving teacher quality holistically, not only through technical training, but also through transformation of work culture, self-reflection, institutional support, and an educational ecosystem that is adaptive to change.
