Abstract

In Indonesia, character education learning is the main focus in efforts to create a young generation that is not only academically intelligent but also has good integrity and ethics. This study aims to explore the implementation of the Fiqh curriculum in supporting character education at MTsN 1 Kepulauan Sula. Using a descriptive qualitative research method, the study collected data through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that the Fiqh curriculum at MTsN 1 Kepulauan Sula is designed to include teaching materials on Islamic laws, ethics, and etiquette, implemented through various teaching methods such as lectures, discussions, and practical simulations. Although the curriculum has shown a positive impact on enhancing students' character values, such as responsibility, empathy, and integrity, the study also identifies several significant challenges. These challenges include resource limitations, the need for improved teacher training, and curriculum adjustments to fit the local context. The study recommends increasing resource support, strengthening teacher training, and adjusting the curriculum to optimize the implementation of the Fiqh curriculum and enhance character education at the madrasah.
