Abstract

In today's era of globalization and digitalization, information, and communication technology (ICT) plays an important role in various aspects of life, including education. The aim of this research is to explore the implementation of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) based learning to improve the quality of science education at MTsN 1 Kepulauan Sula. A qualitative method was used through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results show that ICT usage enhances students' learning motivation, understanding of the material, and digital literacy skills. However, challenges include limited technological infrastructure and the technical readiness of teachers and students. This research emphasizes that ICT can transform teachers' roles into facilitators and promote interdisciplinary learning. To optimize the benefits of ICT, investment in infrastructure, ongoing training, and supportive policies for educational innovation are needed. These findings provide insights for developing technology-based educational practices in remote areas.
