Abstract

This study aims to describe the character of Early Childhood Education (PAUD) teachers in shaping the character of young children. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects were PAUD teachers and school principals. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model and its validity was tested through triangulation. The results showed that the character of PAUD teachers includes patience, compassion, responsibility, discipline, empathy, and moral example. These characters are implemented through habituation, role modeling, and the integration of character values ​​in learning activities. Teacher character has a positive influence on children's behavior, such as increased discipline, cooperation, and social awareness.
